Features

High-Throughput - 8 Sample at a Time:

MicroSpek™ FL96 is designed to simultaneously detect and quantify 12 wells of a micro-plate with samples of Nucleic Acids (RNA & DNA) or Proteins. The MicroSpek™ FL96 can work with Thermo Fishers Life Technologies brand Qubit®  assays to flourescently detect specific quantities of DNA, RNA and protein to detect contamination in the concentration readings.

Illumination:

The MicroSpek™ FL96 utilizes multiple wavelengths for the excitation and emission of the fluorophores  in the to detect DNA, RNA and Protein. A UV LED with an excitation peak of 365nm and with an emission range of 460nm allows for use with many commonly used assays for DNA, RNA, & Protein detection. A blue LED with an excitation peak of 470nm, and a green emission detection of 510nm – 580nm allows for the detection of dsDNA, ssDNA, and protein. A red wavelength LED excites at 635nm and with detection at far red wavelength of 665nm – 720nm to allow for accurate detection of RNA

Display:

MicroSpek™ FL96 brings the look, feel, and functionality of most commonly used smartphone user interface (UI) to its  4.3”, capacitive multi-touch, color TFT display.

Data:

Multiple options for data removal to include connection to network through USB, storage directly to USB flash drive, internal storage of up to 3GB, with ability to analyze data in 96 well formats, and has the ability to print to most commonly used printers.

SEO1000™ Optical System:

The MicroSpek™ FL96 employs the latest in micro-volume flourometer optical design with Static Expanded Oblique1000nm (SEO1000™) optical system. Based on modern optical microscopy techniques, the MicroSpek™ FL96 optical system uses a ball lens to create an infinity corrected light path. As the light exits the ball lens the light beam becomes parallel and expands to a 1000nm diameter. This allows the sample to be have varying volume amounts and still maintain a homogenized beam of light, which thereby increases accuracy and repeatability of the readings. 

Barcode Reader for Fluorescence Filters:

The MicroSpek™ FL96 uses a barcode scanner to automatically detect which filter set the system is using. This eliminates the need of time consuming calibrations when new filters are introduced into the system.  

APC Technology for Stability & Repeatability:
  
The MicroSpek™ FL96 utilizes its patent pending Auto Power-Output Compensation (APC) technology to adjust for minor variances in the light intensity. All lamps can have slight fluctuations in their intensity during operation and over time. The MicroSpek™ FL96 incorporates a direct feedback loop that measures the amount of unrestricted light at the same time as measuring the absorbed light passing through the sample. Any variances in the feedback loops intensity values is compensated for and new reading is taken automatically. This increases the accuracy and prevents the need for continuous blanking or reference the sample.
